SERVICES AND BENEFITS OF USING THE LIBRARY

INFORMATION FOR RESEARCH AT THE INSTITUTE’S LIBRARY VANDA

WHAT IS A LIBRARY ?

Library is not only a place to store books and folders, but it is also a place to store infinite knowledge. Students and teachers are always welcome to come here to study and discover more knowledge in the library. it feels like you are listening to an omniscient speaking. Library is where loads of informations are stored and you are free to find your knowledge from it everytime.

RULES OF BORROWING?

-Have already registered your name in the borrowing list.-Need to have student’s ID card
that is not expired yet.
-Have already returned the book you previously borrowed.
-There’s an expired date for borrowing a book.
-You have to deposit money according to the price of the book and we will give a receipt for you to borrow the book.
-When you return the book before the expired date, we will return back all the money you have deposited.
-In the case that you return after the expired date, you will be charged 500 riels a day for one book.
-In the case that you have lose the receipt, you will be charged 2000 riels.
-If the book is torn, you will have to pay the amount of destroyed.

WHY DO YOU NEED USE THE LIBRARY?

You can come to the library to read books, search for folders, research, consulting about the exercise in group, borrowing a book to use in your studies and various services in the library. Moreover, you can also use the computer that is available in the library with free internet connection and students can also connect the internet on your private computer or phone.

THERE IN VANDA INSTITUTE’S LIBRARY?

The library is located in Building E, G Old buildings and new buildings G WHAT IS

Have big room with air conditon.
Have loads of books and different folders, total 2oooo books.
Have computer lab for students to listen and watch in english.
Have computer with free internet connection for students to use.
Have free wifi for students to use on their own laptop or phone.
Have an application for students to search for books stored in the computer catalogue.
Have a table for students to read book and a sofa to relax.
Have a scanner, photocopier and printer for students to use.
Have a canteen which is located next to the library.

WHERE IS THE LIBRARY LOCATED? WHEN IS IT OPENED AND CLOSED?

The library is located next to the old building G and the new building G in Vanda Institute.

It is opened and closed by the following time:
Monday-Saturday
– Morning 7:00 to 11:30
– Afternoon 13:00 to 20:30
Sunday
– Morning 8:00 to 11:30
– Afternoon 13:00 to 17:00

LIBRARY POLICY

All students in Vanda Institute have the right to read books in VIA’s library everytime you want and you have to obey the following policy:

Have to keep silence and do not cause a chaos to disturb other students reading and studying in the next class.
Have to turn off the phone or put it on silence so that it doesn’t disturb other people who are using the library.
Food and drink are not allowed in the library.
Have to return the book back to its original place.
When the librarian wants to check your back, allow them to do it.
You have to show your ID card to the librarian before going in to the library or if the librarian asks for it.
Have to be careful with the books and other equipment in the library so that to prevent it from being
Do not keep any valuable things in the library without any look after, because our institute will not be responsible for any lose.
All users must agree with the above policy before going into our library. If any users do not follow our policy, librarian have the right to disqualify you from using our library.

INTERNET POLICY

Students can use the internet to search for other information for their studies.
Each student is allowed to use the internet for only 1 hour and 30 minutes and have to pay 1000 riels, but if the computer is free, you can use it for more than 1 hour 30 minutes with the same price.
You have to turn off your phone or put it on silence so that you won’t disturb other people.
You have to show your ID card to the computer teacher. Only students who are studying in the Foundation Year, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree and Master Degree allowed to use the internet.
Food and drink are not allowed in the computer lab.
Do not look or download any inappropriate pictures. In a special case, students may not be allowed or disqualified from using the internet.
Do not use the internet to chat with your friends.
All users must agree with the above policy before using our computer. If any users do not follow our policy, the computer teacher has the right to stop you from using our internet.
